Spalding, The Welland River.

The Welland River, about 100 km long, has its source in the Holtrope Hills and flows into the Wash (North Sea). It crosses Spalding where it is spanned by many bridges. Since the 1950s, upstream of Spalding, a canal, the Coronation Chanel, diverts a part of the river's flow to avoid frequent floods before.
